Trader Joes: A Complete Salad – Caesar Style
There are many foods in my world that I can say that I love, and of those foods that I love, this is at the top, or very near the top of the list.
I love salads of most any kind, and I have a special fondness for Caesar salads, of which I have had many types of the years. I have had those with the traditional fixings like this one from Trader Joe’s, to more exotic creations having eggs, strips of bacon, or a combination of the two. Yes, I have had Caesars with anchovies, though I will admit I took them out.
The complete Caesar salad kit from Trader Joe’s, is one of the better pre-made salad kits that I have had. I think what makes it better is that the croutons are especially tasty, and instead of only getting a few to sprinkle on your salad, you get a nice supply to really make it crunchy, yet still lite.
This salad, which my local Trader Joe’s offers in the bagged salads sections, is offered almost all the time. I say that because I have noticed that some of their bagged salads with dressing, seem to rotate out, or disappear all together. Not sure why that happens, and being honest it really hasn’t distressed me, since I have my favorites.
The Trader Joe’s Caesar has a 10 oz bag of romaine lettuce, then another small gag inside which has the fixings. You will open it and find the croutons in one bag, then a packet of shredded Parmesan cheese, and the Caesar dressing, which is pretty mild, yet tasty.
A full bag of the Caesar mix is not very in high-calories for those watching such things, and as I said is quite delicious and filling. Also, the pricing cannot be beat, only $3.49 for a full 10 oz. bag, at my local Traders.
So, try a bag and let me know what you think? Already tried, and have some comments, post them below in the space provided.
Perhaps you have tried other Trader Joe’s bagged salads, and you want to suggest those. Post your comment below, and I will grab a bag during my next trip to TJ’s to check it out!
Also, looking for a really cool way to be able to take your salad with you to work for lunch, check out this neat Rubbermaid item that I found on Amazon. Just a reminder, I am an affiliate with them, so they do pay me a small fee for things you buy through my links, but they never charge you more for that. Plus, it helps me pay for the site, thank you!
